Night before departure

Well... Obstacles arise on such epic journeys. We found out this morning that the road to Prince Rupert is blocked by a huge mudslide this side of Terrace; 66m wide and 10m thick. It is unknown when the road will be reopened. One commitment of this trip is riding coast to coast. We are anxious to start and we don't want a road closure to push back our starting date indefinitely; therefore we have decided to relocate our starting point to Bella Colla. This is a small community 600km west of Williams Lake. Bright and early tomorrow morning we will drive out there instead of to Prince Rupert. Sorry to all our friends in Smithers and Burns Lake that we will miss going this new route.

T-3 days

Spending our last night in Kamloops at Colin's house. Sort of a departure celebration. Baby back ribs and asparagus. Early night tonight... Lots to do tomorrow.
