Day 27 - June 25th - Yorkton to Langenburg
It was raining when we woke up, but stopped shortly after. Unfortunately we still had a headwind. We made it 30km outside of Yorkton when Dan broke yet another spoke. There isn't much between Yorkton and Winnipeg, so we decided to get Adam to take us back to Yorkton to do some repairs. While waiting for his bike, Dan got his hair cut. Now he's ready to pose for the camera. The wind picked up in the afternoon, which wasn't very motivating. So, we took another little break/rest at the info centre and then did a little evening ride with Adam following. We made it to Langenburg.
Day 28 - June 26th - Langenburg to Minnedosa
We rolled out of Langenburg this morning with the winds at our backs. Some parts of the day were tough with road construction, little shoulder, and when we turned south for a while which gave us a heavy crosswind. Adam fed us a huge feast of sandwiches for lunch to reboost our energy levels. The afternoon we were flying! It was a big day today - over 160km. We are staying at the Minnedosa Beach campground. We just finished smokies and corn on the cob for supper. It's time for laundry and then a little dessert at the local internet cafe. We put our clocks ahead an hour too, so we're going to try to make it an early night.

Hi Dan, Jord and Adam! Your Blog is beginning to resemble an intriguing novel that one cannot put down!! My worries about this trip are put aside when I read about the great adventure that you are experiencing! John and I are immensely proud of you all, and thank you Adam, from the bottom of our hearts, for being there for Jordan and Dan!
As you near the Ontario Border I would like to ask all your friends and relatives and everyone who reads this, to please take a minute today and make a donation to The Rick Hansen Foundation. Just to imagine how this Organization, and Rick himself, have helped people just like Sam Danniels to adjust to a new way of life and to find happiness and fulfullment in that,is worth far more than any of us can compare to $$$. So please, let's all make a difference today and IMAGINE how our small donation will improve the lives of persons with spinal cord injuries!!!
God speed kids - have a good ride today and may the wind be at your back!
Love Mom and Dad(Judi & John Evans)
