Day 31 - June 29th - Winnipeg to Pine Tree Campgrounds
We were up bright and early for breakfast. Sue cooked us omelettes and toast. It was delicious. They stalked us up with enough bottled water to make it through Ontario. We said our thank yous and goodbyes and went on our way. The morning ride was nice, but the long weekend traffic picked up in the afternoon. The shoulder wasn't great so it was a little stressful at times. We called it a day at 98km. The first campsite we went to was full, so we found the Pine Tree Campgrounds which should have been called Mosquito breeding Grounds. We hid out from the bugs in our awesome gazebo (such a good investment) for the whole afternoon. We had chili for supper and cherry pie for dessert.
Day 32 - June 30th - to Kenora
We started at 7:30am. We made it to Kenora by 2:30pm. It was a tough day and we were all pretty tired. We set up camp at the park in town. We weren't into the Canada Day celebrations that were going on all night. We went to bed at 8pm and tried to sleep through them. But that didn't really work all that well. The only campsite available was one on a hill. So sleeping in a tent on an incline isn't that easy or very fun. Dan and Jordan did not sleep very well but Adam had a great sleep in the cab of his truck.
Day 33 - June, no wait, July 1st - Day off
After our poor sleep last night, we are taking the day off. We are going to find another place to stay for the night because apparently the festivities are continuing here tonight.
